Photos: Sasiwimon BoonruangOne of the largest events of its kind in Thailand, Inventors' Day 2017, which wrapped last Monday, showed off brand-new inventions and their creators' competence. Organised by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), Thailand Inventors' Day also announced national awards for inventions in various categories, such as security, sustainability and utilisation, plus a category for young inventors. Besides the creation of technology in agriculture, food, medicine and health, transportation, commerce, the military, education, and so forth, there were unmanned aircraft from university students exhibited and demonstrated at the Drone Exhibition. PrintersA lecturer and students at the School of Engineering and Resources from Walailak University, led by Wattanapong Kurdthongmee, developed a 3D printer called LekOboT.
